As we conclude our Hollow Weeny series, we’ve traced Halloween's ancient deceptions back to their spiritual source—an altar built to glorify fear, death, and the corruption of innocence. From the rituals of the ancient world to the modern celebrations wrapped in costumes and candy, the enemy’s strategy has remained painfully consistent: disguise darkness as entertainment and normalize what once belonged to the worship of false gods. Our journey through the shadows of Halloween has revealed that its roots are not harmless, not accidental, and not spiritually neutral. They are part of a long‑standing campaign to desensitize the world to the very things Yeshua came to conquer.
And now, in our final episode—Pergamon: Is It the New America?—we turn our attention to a sobering question. When a culture begins to celebrate what God condemns, when it elevates self, pleasure, and spiritual confusion, and when it trades truth for spectacle, it starts to resemble the same patterns once found in the city Yeshua identified as the seat of Satan’s throne. This conclusion is not about politics; it is about spiritual architecture. It calls believers to discern the times, recognize ancient shadows rising in modern forms, and stand firm in the light of Yeshua’s truth. Halloween's deceptions may be old, but the Church’s calling is timeless: expose the darkness, proclaim the gospel, and walk as children of the day.
