PERGAMON: THE NEW AMERICA?
PERGAMON: THE NEW AMERICA?
The real history of Halloween | Hollow Weeny | Part FOUR of FOUR
PERGAMERICA
Modern America may well be the ideal setting for the final Pergamon—the throne seat of Satan—because it embodies the same spiritual architecture that once defined the ancient world’s center of deception. Like Pergamon, America has become a nation of dazzling intellect, technological mastery, and cultural influence, yet beneath its brilliance lies a growing altar of self‑worship and moral inversion. The enemy no longer needs marble temples or burning sacrifices; he thrives in ideologies that celebrate autonomy over obedience and entertainment over holiness. In this climate, the throne of Satan finds fertile ground—not through persecution, but through persuasion—where darkness is rebranded as enlightenment and the Beast’s image is welcomed as progress.

Through years of extensive research into the prophetic timeline of the end times, I have traced patterns that reveal how spiritual deception evolves through culture, ideology, and national identity. My studies have led me to examine how ancient centers of idolatry—Babylon, Pergamon, and Rome—each served as incubators for Satan’s throne, blending religion, intellect, and entertainment into a single system of control.
In that light, America emerges as a striking parallel: a nation of immense influence, technological brilliance, and moral confusion, where the pursuit of knowledge and freedom often replaces the pursuit of holiness.
From its entertainment industry to its political stage, America has become the perfect breeding ground for a modern Pergamon—a throne not built of stone but of ideology. The same seductive mixture that once defined Pergamon’s altar of child-hungry Zeus now manifests through cultural worship of self, power, and pleasure. The enemy no longer needs temples; he thrives in institutions, media, and movements that normalize darkness and rebrand rebellion as enlightenment. My research suggests that the final Pergamon may not be a physical city at all, but a spiritual system—one that America, with all her brilliance and blindness, may already be hosting.
America: The Leader in Educational Institutions
Pergamon was once celebrated as the throne of ancient intelligence—a place where scholars, philosophers, and priests gathered to shape the intellectual and spiritual direction of the world. Its massive library, its academic prestige, and its fusion of knowledge with pagan ideology made it the epicenter of “enlightenment” apart from God. In a striking parallel, modern America has become globally recognized as the premier destination for world citizens seeking education in the finest institutions on earth.
Students from every nation flock to American universities, eager to absorb the ideas, innovations, and cultural philosophies that flow from its classrooms.
Yet this similarity is more than academic. Just as Pergamon’s intellectual brilliance became the very platform upon which Satan established his throne, America’s unmatched educational influence has created a cultural environment where knowledge is often pursued without truth, brilliance without holiness, and enlightenment without the fear of the Lord. In this way, America mirrors the ancient pattern—an intellectual empire whose prestige makes it an ideal stage for shaping global thought, values, and spiritual perception.
America: Known for Dark Media
Pergamon once stood as the throne of dark imagery—its rituals, carvings, festivals, and architectural marvels all designed to glorify the underworld and desensitize the population to demonic symbolism.
It was a city where darkness was not hidden but celebrated, where the grotesque was elevated as art, and where spiritual corruption was woven into the cultural identity of the people. In a striking parallel, modern America has become the global leader in producing horror films, fiction films, occult‑themed entertainment, and digital media saturated with demonic imagery. From Hollywood’s endless stream of darkness‑centered movies to online productions that glamorize fear, death, and the supernatural, America has become the world’s primary exporter of visual darkness. And of course, America didn’t just adopt Halloween—it invented the modern version, transforming ancient pagan rituals into a nationwide celebration that now influences the entire world. In this way, America mirrors Pergamon’s legacy, standing as a cultural throne where dark imagery is not only normalized but celebrated.
America: Diluting the Word of God
America has increasingly become the global leader in diluting the Word of God—not through open hostility alone, but through a steady erosion of biblical authority within its own religious landscape.
Liberal churches have reimagined Scripture to fit cultural trends, trimming away doctrines that offend modern sensibilities and replacing conviction with comfort. Liberal Bible translations have softened language, blurred theological lines, and in some cases removed the weight of divine holiness altogether. At the same time, God has been systematically removed from government, schools, and even institutions that once humbly bore the name “Christian.” The result is a nation that exports a watered‑down gospel to the world, shaping global Christianity with a version of truth that has been stripped of its power, purity, and prophetic edge.
American churches have increasingly abandoned the reality of indwelt Christianity, trading the supernatural Life of Yeshua for a system of principles, morals, and inspirational teachings, resulting in a new brand of “following” Yeshua rather than being indwelt by Him.
Instead of proclaiming the mystery of “Christ in you, the hope of glory,” many congregations now emphasize behavior modification, self‑help strategies, and the imitation of Christ’s teachings—while neglecting the very indwelling Life that makes true salvation/obedience possible. In this shift, the sacred distinction between a doer and an indwelt believer has been lost. A doer tries to live for Christ; an indwelt Christian lives from Christ. Yet modern churches rarely make that distinction, leaving multitudes to follow the teachings of Yeshua without ever experiencing the transforming power of His Spirit within.
All of this ultimately leads self‑proclaimed (fake) Christians away from being truly born again, which is one of Satan’s most calculated objectives.
When the enemy can replace the indwelling Life of Yeshua with mere religious activity, moral principles, and cultural Christianity, he succeeds in producing believers who look the part but lack the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.
Satan doesn’t need to turn people into atheists; he only needs to convince them that following Christian ideas is the same as being regenerated by Christ Himself. In that deception, countless souls settle for imitation instead of incarnation, for effort instead of indwelling—and the very miracle of new birth is quietly lost. Much like America is doing as a nation.
So, don’t tell me that the works of Pergamon are ancient!
Pergamon is alive and well in the world today—not as an ancient ruin, but as a spiritual pattern that has resurfaced with startling clarity. The same blend of intellectual prestige, cultural seduction, and normalized darkness that once defined the altar of Zeus has simply migrated into modern forms.
Pergamon was the place where knowledge divorced itself from God, where entertainment carried spiritual corruption, and where the population was slowly conditioned to view demonic imagery as normal.
That pattern has not died; it has evolved. And nowhere is that evolution more visible than in America, where the fusion of brilliance and blindness mirrors the ancient throne almost perfectly.
America, with its unmatched influence, technological dominance, and global cultural reach, has become the ideal soil for a modern Pergamon to flourish. The nation exports entertainment steeped in darkness, celebrates holidays rooted in pagan imagery, and champions intellectual systems that elevate human autonomy over divine authority. Its churches increasingly dilute the gospel, its institutions remove God from public life, and its media glamorizes the very symbols Scripture warns against. In this environment, Pergamon’s spirit finds a new home—not in temples of stone, but in ideologies, screens, classrooms, and cultural rituals. The throne is no longer carved into rock; it is embedded in the heart of a nation that has learned to call darkness “art,” rebellion “freedom,” and deception “progress.”
If you are still celebrating Halloween, jump ship now!
Modern believers must abandon every aspect of Halloween because the holiday has become a cultural celebration of darkness, fear, death, witchcraft, child-trafficking, and demonic imagery—things Scripture commands us to reject without hesitation.
The Word of God leaves no room for “harmless participation” in spiritual corruption. Yeshua’s people are called to be set apart, not blended into the world’s rituals. Paul writes,
“Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them” (Ephesians 5:11, ESV).
Halloween does the opposite—it invites participation, celebration, and imitation of darkness. When believers join in, even lightly or “just for fun,” they step into a ritual that glorifies the very kingdom Yeshua came to destroy.
Scripture also commands us to reject not only evil itself, but even the appearance of it. Paul exhorts,
“Abstain from every form of evil” (1 Thessalonians 5:22, ESV).
Halloween is built entirely on the forms, symbols, and imagery of evil—ghosts, demons, witches, monsters, fear, and death. To participate is to blur the line between holiness and darkness, between the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of Satan. The call of the believer is clear:
“Do not be conformed to this world” (Romans 12:2, ESV).
Abandoning Halloween is not legalism—it is obedience. It is a return to purity, discernment, and the uncompromising rejection of anything that imitates or celebrates the works of the enemy.
Never forget, like America, before Pergamon rose to its famed glory, the land it occupied was far more humble—an early settlement perched high on a defensible cliff in northwest Asia Minor.
Archaeological evidence shows human activity in the region long before Pergamon became a cultural powerhouse, including Hittite habitation as early as the 14th century BCE. The area later became part of the Achaemenid Persian (Iranian) Empire until Alexander the Great conquered it in the 4th century BCE, building a defensive outpost to the foundation of the Attalid Kingdom, the world’s first socialist kingdom—a dynasty that would eventually elevate Pergamon into one of the greatest intellectual, cultural, and religious centers of the ancient world.
Does all this sound familiar? No? You might want to take a closer look at what is happening to America. It is no wonder as to the “why” the Lord had to destroy Pergamon!

For families like ours who have humbly and wholeheartedly removed Halloween from our lives, there is a deep joy in knowing we have chosen the narrow path that honors the indwelling Life of Yeshua.
In a culture that celebrates darkness, we have stepped into the radiant freedom of rejecting even the appearance of evil and embracing the purity of a set‑apart walk. This is not a burden—it is a blessing. It is the quiet triumph of obedience, the steady glow of discernment, and the bold testimony that Christ’s Life within us is worth more than any cultural tradition. By abandoning this holiday, we have declared with our actions that holiness is our heritage, discernment is our calling, and the Kingdom of God is our home.
